New! N scale 40' Waffle-side
piggyback trailer
This easy-to-assemble resin and styrene kit makes a 1960's-1970's
heavy-duty 40' piggyback trailer with the distinctive waffle-sides. Resin
keeps the finish both smooth and lightweight without sanding or filling.
Trailers of this type were heavy steel and typically painted various
shades of boxcar red. These trailers were seen under the banners of XTRZ
XTRA Leasing, and also flagged for B&OZ among others.
These trailers are easy to spot it period photos - look for the
distinctive side ribs and lower height. They are an 'original' 12'
high trailer - 8' width design that rapidly became obsolete with the advent of
the 45' length in the later 1970's.
EVERYTHING INCLUDED - Wheels, axles,
landing gear included, along with .010 styrene for side lettering plates and mud
flaps, and .035 styrene rod for axles.
